The Importance of Legacy Giving and having a Will in place

ByHelderbergHospiceTech September 18, 2025September 18, 2025

In a recent conversation on HelderbergFM, Robert de Wet (CEO) was joined by Lyndi Labuschagne (Board Member) to speak about the importance of preparing for the future and how Wills Week offers a unique opportunity to do so.

Robert reflected on the role of Helderberg Hospice in helping families not only through medical and emotional support but also through the often-difficult conversations about planning ahead. “Our work is about dignity,” he shared. “Having a will in place is one of the most compassionate things you can do for your loved ones. It eases their burden and ensures your wishes are honoured.”

Lyndi added her perspective as a Board Member, reminding listeners that a will is not only about financial matters, but about leaving behind a legacy of care and clarity. “Through Wills Week, we are able to further guide our community towards making decisions today that bring peace of mind tomorrow. It is about safeguarding both family and future.”

By taking this step, you are not only protecting your family but also supporting the ongoing mission of Helderberg Hospice. Helderberg Hospice invites you to inquire about our free will information pack offering on +27 21 852 4608 – Cheryl.
