Ticket prices

• Adults: R170
• Pensioners: R140
• Children aged 6 to 16: R100
• Children aged 5 and under: Free (limited allocation)*

Ticket terms and conditions

• Every person attending, including babies and toddlers, needs a ticket.
• *Free tickets for children aged 5 and under must still be booked so that we can manage numbers on the lawn. The free allocation is limited. Once it has been taken up, a paid children’s ticket must be purchased for any additional children aged 5 and under.
• Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. The event goes ahead in light rain; should it be cancelled by the organisers, ticket holders will be contacted directly.
• There will be no ticket sales at the venue. Tickets are available online or from Hospice House, 21 Old Stellenbosch Road, Helena Heights, until sold out.
• Armbands can be collected from Hospice House, 21 Old Stellenbosch Road, Helena Heights, from Monday 30 November 2026 (9am to 3pm). Please bring your order confirmation, printed or on your phone, when you collect.
• Armbands can also be collected at the venue on the evening from 4pm. However, we strongly encourage early collection from our offices, so that you can head straight in and help keep gate queues short for everyone.
• Once collected, armbands are the ticket holder’s responsibility to keep safe. Lost armbands cannot be replaced and a new ticket will need to be purchased.

Access and parking

Below is a map detailing access and parking areas for your convenience. Kindly familiarise yourself with the layout to make your arrival and parking as easy as possible.

Access and parking are via the gates in Lourensford Road, which open at 4pm. Please be patient, as there will be higher than normal traffic volumes in the hours leading up to the event, and please follow the directions of the parking marshals to speed up access.

Disabled parking is limited and must be arranged in advance with Celéstine van der Merwe on eventsteam@helderberghospice.org.za.

On the night

Kindly note that Vergelegen security staff reserve the right to conduct bag checks if required for safety and compliance.

To ensure that the evening is enjoyable for everyone, please be respectful of fellow attendees by limiting your picnic area appropriately, and help younger children to be mindful of others too.

• Please note that Vergelegen does not allow wine to be brought onto the estate. Vergelegen wines will be available for purchase on the night.
• Children must be supervised at all times and may not be left unattended.
• Please help us keep the evening peaceful by ensuring that children do not disturb other picnic areas or cause havoc.
• No balls or similar sports equipment are allowed on site.
• No seating is allowed in designated emergency pathways.
• No dogs are allowed at the event.
• Vergelegen Wine Estate is a smoke free environment. No smoking is allowed, including electronic cigarettes.
• Picnics, blankets and camping chairs are welcome.
• Bring a warm layer and a torch for the walk back to your car.
• Please be kind enough to take your litter with you when you leave the Great Lawn after the event.
