On 01 September 2023, twenty-six teams of enthusiastic golfers, all keen supporters of the hospice cause, took to the lush fairways of Somerset West Golf Club for a day of spirited competition. The event also featured nine dedicated Hole Sponsors, whose contributions helped make this day of social impact and fun, possible.
One of the day’s highlights was Hole #9, also known as the Hyundai Hole-in-One competition hole. Although no one claimed the coveted R50,000 prize for a hole in one, the excitement and camaraderie was palpable, serving as a poignant reminder of the real winners—the patients and their loved ones touched by Helderberg Hospice’s unwavering care.
The event would not have been possible without the incredible support of donors who generously provided prizes for the lucky draw, adding an extra layer of excitement to the day.
