“We the management and staff of Helderberg Hospice wish to keep you, our community, updated on the present situation.
We very reluctantly took the decision to temporarily close our ‘24 hour Support Centre’, as a response to the President’s announcement of a lockdown, and are working tirelessly to source the necessary protective wear for our staff, in the hope of reopening the centre next week. Meanwhile our Homecare team of specialised Palliative Care Sisters, supported by our Social Workers, have been in regular contact with their patients and families, offering all necessary advice and support – all their needs are being addressed.
As a non-profit organisation and considering the severe economic constraints of this period in our history, we want to assure you that we will continue to offer our specialised care to you, our community, utilising our limited resources while we can.
We wish you and your family continued good health.”
