Helderberg Hospice Golf Day held on 25 February ’22 at SWCG

Helderberg Hospice recently held their Golf Day after a two year delay due to Covid-19, and this annual fundraiser was eventually hosted on Friday, 25 February at the Somerset West Golf Club.

The day was a huge success with generous sponsors and great prizes for the top ranking teams, but no-one went home without having won something.

One of the holes carried a prize of R50 000.00 for a hole-in-one proudly sponosred by Immediate Medical, and although no-one managed to achieve that, a few players came excitingly close. Jeanette Williams did manage to achieve a hole-in-one, but on the “wrong” hole, and very kindly made a donation to Helderberg Hospice.

Somerset West Golf Club was a wonderful venue and Wouter Geldenhuys, the manager of the club, was an accomplished and entertaining host at the prize giving. Everyone had a very enjoyable day, and Helderberg Hospice CEO Robert de Wet thanked all the sponsors and participants, whose generosity made such a difference to the service Helderberg Hospice is able to provide in our Helderberg Basin.
