Get into the spirit of the Christmas season with Carol singing and a Christmas pageant at the lovely Vergelegen Estate on Wednesday 18 December 2013. Flood damage to the famous suspension bridge at Vergelegen has meant a change in venue for this year’s event with a move from the Great Lawn to the Yellow Wood Forest. The carol singing will be led by well-known Gordon’s Bay musical director Andrè Strijdom, with musicians and singers set to make the evening sparkle while the children of the Somerset West Stagecoach Theatre Arts School present the timeless story of Christmas on the stage under the stars. Pack a picnic, chairs, your family and friends, warm clothing, a torch and your best voice!

The gates at Vergelegen, opposite the Erinvale Estate, open at 17h00 and the Carol singing starts at 19h30. Tickets are R40 for adults and R20 for children, available from Helderberg Hospice at 21 Old Stellenbosch Rd, Somerset West, the 2nd Debut shop in Drama St, Somerset West and the Hospice shop in Fagan St, Strand. Only a limited number of tickets will be available at the gate because the new venue has a smaller capacity than the Great Lawn. Disabled parking is available by prior arrangement with Helderberg Hospice. Call Patricia on 082 731 5736 for more information or to make an EFT payment for tickets.

All proceeds of the evening go to Helderberg Hospice, celebrating 27 years of special care to the community.
